Dmitriy Vysotskiy

Dmitriy is an electrical engineer and tinkerer.

He graduated with a dual B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2011. He is currently involved in creating ssh:chicago - a hackerspace on the South Side of Chicago. Dmitriy is also the co-founder of Neoturbine - an IRC-based web community and network that serves as a testbed for his web design projects. He was involved as a co-organizer of TEDxIIT 2011 and is a member of a small club that visits coffee shops around Chicago on the weekends. Dmitriy's interests include art, science fiction, photography, and electronic music.

Dmitriy was born in the Soviet Union, raised in Russia and is currently a citizen of the United States. He resides in Chicago, Illinois and considers it his adoptive home town.

Electronic Map Display
An Arduino prototyping board wired to LEDs, hardware pushbuttons and a PC (via USB) inside a display case. The board is programmed to respond to the pushbuttons by powering LEDs and sending keystrokes to the PC in a sequence. LEDs represent points on the map etched into the acrylic top of the case; the keystrokes advance a presentation on the PC. IIT IPRO 303 (Team Chujio). Fall 2010.
